about

John Munson produced Womanly. Richard Medek recorded and mixed all the songs at Bones and Wire studio in NE Mpls, except for The Living and Something on Your Mind, which were recorded at Brew House Studio by Rob Genedek and mixed by Jacques Wait. The Comfort I Give features additional recording by Dylan Hicks. Jacques Wait mastered Womanly, except for The Living and Something On Your Mind which were mastered by Dave Gardner.

Womanly was a labor of love that was crafted over a number of years. It could not have happened without the generous spirits and collaboration of the following musicians:
John Munson played bass, occasional guitar and sang backing vocals; Richard Medek played drums, percussion, baritone sax and programmed some fun stuff; Chris Koza played mostly electric guitars and sang backing vocals; Dylan Hicks played keyboard and some electric guitar. For The Living and Something On Your Mind Chan Poling played piano and B-3 organ and Noah Levy played drum set. Am I Right? features Matt Darling on trombone and Stephen Kung on trumpet. Eric Koskinen sang lead vocal on the manly parts of Years From Now. Lucy Michelle played acoustic guitar and sang lead vocals on all the songs.

All songs written by Lucy Michelle, except for Something On Your Mind written by Dino Valenti and originally performed by Karen Dalton.

Lucy Michelle designed the CD art and created the illustration for the cover. Lucy’s Womanly portrait photographed by Hannah Lynch .
